General Visioning and Design
The process by which leaps of imagination into the future, assist in the first concrete steps of realising a feasible path. Different people have different imaginative projections, and this normally results in disagreement, and attempts to committee-crop them, both methods of which often lead to conflict or disappointment. The way around this, is to let visioning be an ongoing process, delaying decisions until conditions determine.
Tav's vision of Espra and 24weeks is grand, and includes within it, an ideal social formation of collaboration: open-source in the real world. Perhaps this is premature, and indeed, failure is merely the recognition that the conditions are not right, people still hold on to traditional ways of organising themselves. If Tav's vision resonates with others, a confluence of intentions begins to emerge, forming a team for example. However, group-dynamics often give rise to problems, especially if people are still adopting 'role'-demarked positions. If enough people's ideas resonate, the formation of a vision, gradually at first, can start to become a reality. The dynamics for this are as yet little understood.
If we design a system by which we can delay decision-making to appropriate times, and we avoid compromising our ideals/vision with one another, and if our daily actions realise our vision day to day, there is an opportunity for resonance to occur, for this resonance to align us, and for our invidiaul unqiue perception/vision to be aligned to achieve a greater goal. Skills then become available to everyone in the collective, and roles are brief, and a new dynamic can emerge.
Hence this wiki format, where intentions from different people are collected on one page, enabling people to forge ahead with their vision and keeping abreast of others' developments. Through time, individuals who are working along similar lines will aggregate, and certain avenues pursued will meet with success or failure; faced with failure, individuals may then realign their efforts, and their achievments, to a new direction.
That is, the process of visioning is on-going, contextually dependent on one another and on external factors (money, buildings, time, etc). See Person-based wiki conventions for more details...

Decision Making
Because of the open structure of the person-based wiki and the non-managed collaboration process, it is a little tricky to make decisions. The following procedure evolved from potentially the biggest decision within the 24weeks event, at least so far...
- invite involvement in the decision; whoever takes part are the ones necessary for the decision to be made...
- establish as clearly as possible the options, eg fork (espra, wtf)
- everyone contributes to visualising/imagining/projecting/investing both paths, perhaps to the point where they are stating committments to what they are actually willing to contribute to making that vision happen; so people are happy with whatever decision is made
- in this process, more prominant people, almost critical for the effectiveness of the decision will emerge; that is, whoever is going to do the work, makes the decision, and everyone else acknowledges the implications of that person's decision; this might correspond to those leading wrt specific task/projection
- the decision is made, or a new solution that combines both paths emerges, resolving the decision... everyone is committed to moving forwards; the process has affirmed togetherness
Recording Process
We have a variety of means of recording events before Espra becomes live. Our main outlet is Radio:24.
- we can use David's system at Rich Mix to record live things, interviews, jaxing etc, and then send files to Bruder's server
- we can call Bruder over Gizmo and record the conversation live
- we can use the podphone to record at any time from a telephone
- we can also use teamspeak as an audio version of irc
