1.0 Let us dream the impossible dream : in 2015 the vast majority of those in 007(eg [Sir Nick Stern], [John Doerr], [Mary Robinson], you tell us at info@worldcitizen.tv...[Yunus] [Rick Nelson] [Taddy Blecher],) who believe the world has taken a wrong turn on sustainability and has exponentially few years to intervene before sustainability is permanently lost raise three [interactive] cheers for the world of 2015 having rediscovered sustainability futures
INTERMISSION : LAUNCHING TRUST MAPS SOFTWARE - ESPRIA1.0
will you be at this world first? and how do we invite you at [hi-trust's] zero cost of advertising? brainstorm transcript : so we are launching trust maps?- huh?? normally when [world class brands] or new media-makers launch something the trailers whet the appetite; this is the most vital when the service is new to the world and requires some unlearning or communal higer ground than eg the web's every day behaviours currently stimulate
we! (not just Yunus [[1]]! & you!! and I!!! but 7 billion we!!!!) need to interact around a simple framework (mapping) for sustainability crises that people can meta-navigate otherwise we risk drowning in a sea of noise , a web of waves;I propose the 7-compass:
4 linkin around Ghandian and most connected humanitarian (Larry Brilliant google.org) and
3 intangible ones that truth entrepreneurs, Ghandi, Einstein and Johny von neumann, Yunus , Prahalad, Stern, Mary Robinson etc have mapped round
http://www.valuetrue.com/home/community.cfm wherever stimuli or debates turn communally to system transformation empowering up up and above zero sum markets http://worldclassbrands.tv
2.0 Let us suppose that while billions of people linked through the internet or real local projects to turn this round, there are maps of 20 most trusted people whose open sourced innovations did most. The first million web [Tf00] of us peoples ([Tf0] [Tf1]) could collaboratively ([Tf2]) choose 500 ([Tf3)] or 10 to be openly guiding ([Tf4])empowerment around but the emerging question I want to raise is what human relation system structures do those maps around the world's most trusted [changemakers] reveal; and also what variables caused very different maps (for example I would not expect the map of how [Yunus Yunus] or [Abed] became 2 of the most trusted people to be wholly the same as the scientific innovator who did most to change climate everywhere nor the same as whomever seeded/open sourced a hi-truth media that other media decided to partner with)
3.0 So what are the analogies. It seems critical to me that these world's most trusted people are not usually expecting to also become billionaires. That doesn’t mean we should want them to appear to be Gandhi-esque paupers either- they have a right to their own families, and sustaining futures of those they love most. But also being a world's most trusted can be a [huge reward], but a system opposite way round transfomramtion than image-making or sports-only celebrities who may have been the world's temporary best in competing around a game of somewhat arbitrary rules (golf, tennis, being a fashion supermodel). Instead our new heroes are inviting collaborations around the most basic values and rights of human sustainability which in some way celebrity media of the last 40 years forgot and had an even worst of both worlds spin when it interfaced with the greatest media change of all time the internet as visioned in this 1984 [future report]. Where hi-trust mappings games of 24 years starts (unless you really want to reinvent sources annually which is not a way to compound any goodwilled enough pattern in the [wars against badwill] or blindwill networks).
4.0 beware of a mathematician carrying 24 years of system transformation baggage and a cluster of Scottish [1] [2] clans who have logged up cases of entrepreneurial revolution for 207 years- partly because by the early 1800s the auld enemy the English had already sent up 90 day accountants who valued sheep as worth more than people with the consequnce that more than half of all scots silaed the seven seas and became an early www nation. [Transparency Mapmaking ] friends of people like [entrepreneurial revolutionaries] and even (!) Scots:
4.1 are impertinent with transparency questions, some in slower worlds demand to be private; questions which could actually unite cultures if we understood the different rudenesses of deep democracy; questions that will show that on more and more issues searching for perfect information is wrong because perfect depends on locality of nest sustainability crisis; in such a world life's safest way forward needs to link around context-deep maps with transparency of information questioning instead of only auditing/spreadsheeting perfect numbers one quarter at a time
4.2 want 3 revolutionary games to be in the heads of co-collaborators so that we have at least some common staring points in analysing micro to inter to macro sustainability journeys into the world's future (these games can be translated into games of others but having a common three-in-one as a translation centre matters)
4.3 need agreement of say 7 meta-sustainability indexes that are multiplicative in that if our future stories compound the loss of one we lose the world- Gandhi suggested 3 : truth professions, transparency of media, learning; the Gandhian Larry Brilliant includes 4 more : climate (ie cleaning up carbon in everything that life on nature. intakes for energising), poverty, peace, flow/viral risks to health in an ever more connecting world (as well as affordable access to basic health everywhere). Again 7 isn’t a magic number except as being a translation language - for example whilst I call clean water and climate 2 branches of the same tree; urgency around local communities may require them to be prioritised as needing different emergency funding foci. NB : it was also stated that these indices flow into each other where we noted that if one is lost all are lost. In other words, just as any past educational curricula may go through 1 to 12 to 18 (postgrad dr) to 40 (wisdom of world leaders?) grades of simplifications, so do these missing sustainability curricula
4.2.1 the games I want to open source: 4.2.1.a micro (or learning): a map of how individuals optimalise collaboration flows - based on the flow view that success for a being is what % of your time do you spend at the experiential edge of your own deepest competence; and in a networking world the 2nd measure of what % of your time do you communally spend empowering peers to be at the edge of their competence
4.2.1.b inter (or media): a game of what questions does everyone living and learning around a brand or leadership vision have an open right to Q&A starting with the questions- what would whose world uniquely miss if this brand or leader ceased to exist tomorrow
4.2.1.c macro (compound whole truth professions): what's the mathematical audit of early detect early response that Larry Brilliant talks about needing if we are not to lose on the health index, and which would also empower all the greatest testifiers on other indices whether you take poverty's Yunus or Climate's Anderson, or name your own provisionally most trusted leader for transforming worlds in ways that converge around Passports to Sustainability.
4.2.1.d the relationship between inter and macro games is introduced at http://erworld.tv where current documentation (July 007) shows that 95% of world's largest market sectors have no sustainability benchmark. You can help mapmakers improve zero-sum economic's dismal score by [identifying sustainability benchmarks] for specific sectors or joining the 5 year program [Passports to Sustainability] designed to debrief the world before London's 2012 Olympics
4.2.2 since 1998 when the last of these games emerged to map why Andersen was compounding its own destruction unless its leaders transformed within under 14 quarters, all these games have existed in open source version - not through all grades 1 to 40 but either enough pattern rules to get wiki'ing should you accept this three-in-one mission impossible
WHAT COULD STOP THE DREAM OF TRUST MAKING
the following is a real case which began with the collaboration between espians and solaroof in october 2006 - the motivation for making 007 the most revolutionary year for experiments in citizen collaboration london or the global space of www had ever seen : I will edit it down as time permits:
peter ([face 1], [web 1]) - this slipped through my mails a few day back - the kibera image that rick is talking about is now at top of http://kibera.tv ; if we were to start a league table of absurdities of global aid's compound ignorace after failing to end malaria, kibera (and its ilk) must be up there in clear 2nd place - every bit of information from the last 8 weeks of observers fieldwork (1500$ of grassroots action reporting) shows this to be the case -its an ignorance that should be blogged the grassroots world over
we've talked about how you've occasionally bumped into eg cameron sinclair ted.com wishmaker for architecture, or people concerned with orphan issues -if anyone additional does come to mind that rick might see in new york, please say
of course this also goes back to the whole absurdity of american idol gives back making its main story out of kibera but then not giving back anything to kibera, and certainly not having comprehension of this issue- the unicefs of this world are missing probably the simplest dramatic intervention for making life better for the 50000 kids at kibera - is there anyone else you can think of out of new york who cares about transparency discussion of what's best environmentally way forward for development contexts for orphans places like kibera (again its frustrating that ted.com has had 2 talks -cameron sinclair (prizewinner and wishmaker for architecture change) and another specifically on kibera but both seemingly solution blindfolded by all who court them)
there must be someone in new york etc who can understand that by putting advocacy and fund-raising before having open interdisciplinary discussion of radical entrepreneurial solutions the whole of american development efforts is counterproductive when it comes to transformative solutions and compoundin better futures; this second kind of lost transparency shocks generations of entrepreneurship journalists beyond words
I'll search through and see if there are contact points in new york for anyone who has ever hosted either Wangari Maathai or Martin Fisher- 2 reputedly world class environment and agriculture networks born in kenya
Knowledge Management's Inconvenience or Utter Ignorance let's be sure that trust mapping works in an age of fallibility "where conventional wisdom is the problem" - yunus http://www.valuetrue.com/home/community.cfm?startrow=4&intClassID=-1
it will of course be a very interesting test of how a thousand londoners are facilitated/trained to do trust mapping in August; http://wiki.espians.com/WTF_7.1 http://wiki.espians.com/Trust
as predicted by system thinkers like einstein, gandhi and ackoff the boxed in experts are the problem (the bigger part of the inconveneint truth) when a transformative solution is needed; how does one rank the exceptional wisdom as more valuable to keep in the margin of the map than 100 people looking at a context with boxed in conventional wisdom; in survey research there is exactly one method that breaks through this called grounded theory but the iterative level it requires conversations to occur at is brilliantly facilitated out by all meetings facilitation methods I have witnessed in recent years and has not a bats chnace in hell of emerging out of liner athread of virtual community, facebook, egroups, chat or whatever; change networks have structed themselves to be wholly incompetent at the one dialogue method they most need
however rick and tav it is also why back in october when you were talking about conceptualising plant a solaroof as a 10 times more efficient carbon insurance approach than plant a tree we should have got a team to get a one page brochure out that we could all have used -mail it out to 500 mass media people and if one has enough human sense to explore we can start taking climate debates beyind the misinfomation they are polluted by ; the inability of meta-collaboration networks to identify the biggest stories across their subnetworks makes me believe that all london change networks are also designed to fail to connect human knowledge in transformative ways-

Chris, the image of the metal roofs of the Kibera slum is worth a thousand words. Imagine the temperature and discomfort beneath such rudimentary shelter. A tremendous urban heat island effect. These metal roofs let in no daylight, so creating hot and dark spaces and outside there is no shade under a bright and glaring sun. The roofs are not designed to collect rain water, yet clean water is so scarce in this place. There seems to be no place available to grow food. But....
A simple, single layer translucent SolaRoof to provide rain shelter and water collection and daylight beneath - that is all that is needed. Additionally, there is a net for support of plants growing above the roof that produce a spreading leaf canopy that provides shade and cooling comfort and also food and biomass. All the green biomass (plant and food waste plus toilet waste) can be converted to BioFuel using small scale AD treatment. Yes, there is an opportunity for a great boost in the quality of life with simple "BlueGreen" solutions based on water working and the powerful benefits of living green plants.
These are affordable methods that produce strong financial, health and comfort benefits to the community - but it is necessary for the people coping with these desperate living conditions to have help with the cost of such development. I will be in NY from July 29 to August 6th and perhaps I could meet with some of your contacts - like the tr-ac-net - could you put me in touch? Cheers
