Feel free. Doesnt take much to notice we have shifted from 24weeks to Confluence Projections...

wishlist

  1. i'd like to form an espian team for a game... its called armagetron, it's a teamgame, and it is based on the lightcycles in a film called tron... check out this vid to get an idea of why i play it...
  2. mobile phones with fish-eye lenses, so any viewer on a computer can focus on anything they want to... should replace the idea of camera control.. imagine big brother where you can control the cameras... everyone can...
  3. combine 4 fisheye lense mobile phones in a tetrahedron shape, streaming their perspectives, and a bit of clever maths, mapping these streams into a visual illusion that provides a fully immersed virtual reality... with no simulation... more like the clever stuff that came out of mist games, where you can move around an entirely virtual world with photographic quality... just a clever bit of maths topology... well, combine that with 3d, and i think we can produce a very interesting result... might be nice to produce that for 24weeks, as a kind of... advert...
  4. boids wrt music... represent music with boids.. ie multi-agent modelling in 3d like birds flocking including an extra rule which relates bird movement to frequency... should get emergent musical emulations... ie, we should be able to see the music that we are listening to, ie following the melody, for example
  5. multiagent social modelling... colours wrt levels of existence, shape, and rules of attraction/aversion... produce hierarchical structures (crystalisation), not as free form as flocking, and not as regular as planetary motion, but something which is dynamically stable... toroid smoke ring that kind of thing...
  6. double mouse, so that i can have two copy/paste etc, and effectively multiprocess with my two hands... i keep finding i am limited to this single bloody pointer, it's absurd
  7. micro-politics: the equivalent of micro-economics... the politics to be able to manage micro-decisions, in networks... So we have nomination, seconding with ++, and we need a critical mass of people to work on a particular task, eg to establish the front-page entry for new people... and consensus by a group... reminds me of gleick group
  8. 1000 people titan: came up with a jaxed track three years ago, when i imagined what could 1000 people do together in one night that would have a direct impact the next day or perhaps in the following week. I was wondering if we could apply that to WTF 7.1. Like an open invitation, and part of the day is for options to be explored, and a decision come to by consensus for all 1000 to do, which we believe has the highest chance of making the most impact...

additional ideas

  1. intentional brothers: been playing around with multiagent modelling, and i thought about 2 years ago we can perhaps generate a stronger social fabric if we choose 2 intentional brothers, one older, one younger, with the criteria that when you are 70 or 80 and approaching death, you can look back and be pleased with such a decision. You treat these two like your brother, an ideal one. I have chosen two intentional brothers already :) Wondering if something like this might be valid wrt social exponential growth wrt collaboration and 24weeks etc etc.
  2. encourage gift giving: if we generate £24million we could enable 1million people to grant gifts to others of £24. Ie, to start off this recommendation and trust network, we inject money in to the punters. SO, instead of 2 bods getting 1.5 billion for youtube, the money is just ploughed into the real makers of the system -- the people who use it. If there is enough currency of trust, value, money, then people will add their own money to it... Ie, we might need a critical mass of cashflow through the system to reverse the traditional money flow dynamic/thinking/protocol.
  3. working holiday :) I will pay £100 a week for the 24week project :). Like an experiential, active, sport holiday. Well, if we want the espra system to have this kind of system, where people pay for things almost voluntarily, then surely, we should be starting that off. This might be the big concept we have to get across to "the first hundred". I am paying to be here... people are not involved because they make money, oh no, but it is so good, they will pay for it. Imagine, i am paying to promote this! Ie, it's on the entertainment side, not work.
  4. the charles buzz: charles is still in espian system thing after six year of involvement and not quite contributing that much really, but it is really fun... hehehehe. He's here for the experience! We should charge Charles! Alternative title: the chalrie charge... hehe not a tax.
  5. new thought: We have to ensure that the first 100 have the quality of idea generation that i just experienced with eg mamading and charles. ie everyone leaves with a new idea...
  6. untax: No charges. We don't charge people, like Tav is rabbiting on about... well.. what if in the future, when people are being primed to pay some cash for the service they like, to cover the costs of things (taking no tax), also option of putting in a few pennies for the developers, and perhaps the people who were involved at the start, and even the person who kind of put it together initially, ie tav.
  7. eye-contact-art: tried this a few times... using eyecontact to advertise something interesting... If you engage someone in eye contact, on the tube, street, bar, there is a reason. Perhaps it is sexual undercurrent, perhaps it is something about attraction of personality, or perhaps something deeper, indicated by the alertness of each other; for example, I often find myself very alert in the tube even though most people are asleep or just not engaging. I bumped into someone at a food-vendor's and because she responded with liveness, I merely mentioned 24weeks, and she responded with gratitude. Simple. Anyone you meet seems to be open, tell them 24weeks. I used this for group-meetings called "open mind", which was an informal thing where we could practice listening; a friend said it was like "taking my mind for a walk". Seemed to work. [This is related to koans, eg "what is the sound of one hand clapping", to try to catch the minds of attentive prospective monks. I use similar techniques in classes :]
  8. what about writing scripts with potential clients, accurately portraying them (mamading can do this bit) so they are well represented, imagining how we can work together to produce some amazing collaboration, eg nokia and the fisheye lens streaming thing, and perhaps even the full blown 3d emulation...
  9. write a scifi with mamading (to encourage collaborative skills)...
  10. write an audio book with bruder (to improve collaborative skills)...
  11. non-managed colloboration: provocative discussion
  12. process spine: a central page, perhaps with a nice graphic, which also has all the various pages which are associated to the different stages... eg wtf 7.1, eg vision/design, eg think-cycles... process
  13. walking advert: just realised, with this tattoo on the back of my head... i am a kind of walking advert... if i mention 24weeks to people, and they google it, and then they can find me easily because of my tattoo... i mean... i could stand before a crowd outside a club, call for their attention, inform them we are in week7 of 24weeks and they are cordially invited, and bow... that should be enough for any bright bods to google it and connect... sounds a bit odd, but... wth... i've added myself as a interact bullet point on the blog hehehe
  14. branding: making 24weeks cool and hip, eg the co-create and unify TM hehehe... co-operative, intentional "marketing"(obviously wrong word since there is not such thing as a market), co-elaboration, confluence.... {social corollary of open-source} versus {old paradigm}
  15. trust maps: in real life... we need to start mapping these and actually really making use of them.... ie if tav and eg gilhem have broken trust, are there others through which the trust can circulate... if for guilhem to continue with 24 weeks because of his committments and trust to others in the network....? We should start now, and then when we get to wtf 7.1, we can start comprehending the trust maps needed to establish the 10k needed for wtf 7.1.
  16. social art: big agenda here. It is not social engineering, but social art, where people are the subjects of art, their participation, intention, goodwill, dynamics, is the art.
  17. the numbers game: I have this thing in teaching. Instead of a student thinking that there is only one person in the room that can help them, if we understand that there are peers who might be able to help, suddenly each students is faced with the ratio of helpers of 30:1. The social corrollary is this: if one's intentions is to help others, this builds trust, community, global networks, unity... a deep, big love. The selfishly motivated action leads to local gain, eg a shallow sexual gratification.
  18. only 100: we may think of scaling down. If we get 100 really high-trust, committed, social entrepreneurs, cultural creatives, all working 100%, this may be a better goal than 1000 reasonably interested people. Hmmm.... a game within a game...
  19. evaluation game: some of my friends invented this game for a valentines party, and it seemed to work well, and i thought it might translate well for the wtf... Each person evaluates secretly what kind of person they are engaging, how they are coming across, in relation to some category system (eg ideas-person, developer, marketeer, finisher, or some other)... at the end of the day, people find out how they have been evaluated, which is fun... and the secret bit, is you reveal that it is not so much what you receive that matters, but what you give...
