"Looks like a groupware thing with modern social software features and support for multiple IM-like communcation methods." - Mamading Ceesay

xnet

  • a collaboration plattform for people or oganisation which work together with espians.
  • a showcase application for

modules

  • communcation
  • contactdata
  • tasks
  • pecus
  • finacial data

it should integrate other parts of the espian communication framework.

  • irc (bots, logs, clients, statistics)
  • wiki (recentchanges, tags)
  • blogs (blog.espnow.net, personal blogs, blogs where espians post to)
  • IM (bots, clients for jabber, voip, skype, msn, icq)
  • svn repositries
  • phonecalls
  • calendars
  • mailinglists
  • mailaccounts
  • bookmarks

it should mainly support the espian model of toman.

it should have a reporting function. because of the turnbased idea of toman the user get mainreport every month.

this can be diffrent from user to user.

  • which channel for report
  • which events are reportet

the main use for xnet is organizeing decisions and tasks.

  • a task is defined as an activity the task doer performs in order to accomplish a goal
  • a task is defined as an observable and measurable unit of work
  • a task contains other tasks.
    • describing the task more cleary
    • propagating the task to people which will do it
    • breaking it down to smaller tasks
    • amount of issued pecues
  • optional fields can be a lot.
  • one important field is a goalslot
  • the goalslot defines when the goal is reached
  • the goalslot can be used to make quality assurance
  • the goalslot is useful to monitor task activities without reporting by the taskdoer
    • example:
      • task description: make a new website for http://www.espnow.com
      • task goalslot: type: voting - 80 % of the espians must like the website more than the version before.
